Schoolhouse Docs (SHD) is our series of fun and educational documentaries for the whole family at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. SHD films have been rated for students by Missoula educators and offer a variety of age-appropriate and perspective-widening themes, bringing non-fiction film to the next generation. This online and in-person program provides out-of-school family fun and educational opportunity to a wide range of audience members, introducing young people to global stories and the filmmakers that bring them to light.

Schoolhouse Docs screenings are $5 for in-person or online screenings.

Our 2023 Schoolhouse Docs line-up will be announced January 2023.

Special thanks to the dedicated educators on the BSDFF ratings committee!
